WiiTournii Bowling Competition Donates to MS Society

Washington, DC—Octagon Entertainment, LLC (www.wiitournii.com) announced today that it will be donating 5% of the profits from its Washington, DC WiiTournii bowling event to the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society National Capital Chapter in order to help build awareness for MS and MS research.

“We believe supporting important causes in the communities we visit,” said Ralph Tufano, President and CEO of the annual WiiTournii bowling competition.  “MS affects thousands of people each year and we are excited to be able to help provide support in the effort to find a cure.”

Funds contributed to the MS Society will be earmarked for Promise: 2010 Campaign. This nationwide effort fueled by local MS chapters will raise at least $35 million to fund four targeted areas that hold great potential in the fight against the effects of MS, but which have so far been under-explored. Kate Shifflett, Director of Development at MS Society National Chapter, says, "We are delighted to be part of WiiTournii and appreciate being a beneficiary here in DC." There are also talks about a possible continued partnership between WiiTournii and MS Society in other tournament cities.
